Terms of Service

Welcome to PitchPeek! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PitchPeek mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using PitchPeek, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use PitchPeek

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your region) to use PitchPeek. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the right and authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Your account

You can use PitchPeek by signing in with Apple or Google, or as a guest. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Guest accounts are tied to your device — if you uninstall the app or switch devices, guest data (reviews, saved spots, bookings) may be lost. We recommend signing in to keep your data.

3. Your content & conduct

"Your Content" means the reviews, ratings, tips, tags, photos, and other materials you submit. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to share it.

You agree not to post or do anything that:

• is false, misleading, or not based on a genuine experience;
• is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
• is obscene, or infringes someone else's privacy or intellectual property;
• contains spam, advertising, malware, or attempts to disrupt the Service;
• impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation;
• attempts to scrape, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, but we are not obligated to monitor or moderate content.

4. License to your content

You keep ownership of Your Content. By posting it, you grant PitchPeek a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content within the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting PitchPeek. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for content already shared with others or retained in backups or anonymized form.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

PitchPeek is free to use and may offer optional paid features or subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Our intellectual property

PitchPeek, including its name, logo, mascot, design, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our permission.

7. Third-party content & accuracy

PitchPeek aggregates information about parks and campgrounds and displays reviews submitted by users. We are not affiliated with Ontario Parks or any park operator. Campsite details, availability, amenities, and reviews may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always confirm important details (such as availability, fees, and rules) with the official park operator before relying on them. Maps are provided by Mapbox and other third parties.

8. Termination

You can stop using PitchPeek at any time and request account deletion by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information is accurate or complete. Camping involves inherent risks — you are responsible for your own safety and decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PitchPeek and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $50.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of PitchPeek after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
